We are seeking a talented Associate Designer to join our team on a contract basis. If you are passionate about interior design, have strong technical drafting skills, thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, and are eager to grow professionally, we'd love to hear from you.
Position Overview:
The Associate Designer will support the design team throughout all phases of the design process—from concept development through installation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, technically proficient, and able to balance creativity with accuracy. This role requires someone who learns quickly, communicates professionally, and enjoys contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create accurate construction drawings, floor plans, elevations, and detailed design documentation using AutoCAD or Revit.
- Develop finish plans, furniture layouts, and fixture schedules.
- Understand and interpret architectural drawings, dimensions, specifications, and field measurements.
- Conduct on-site measurements and assist with project installations.
- Research products, materials, furnishings, fixtures, and finishes.
- Source furnishings, accessories, lighting, and plumbing fixtures that align with project goals.
- Assist in preparing client presentations using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign experience is a plus).
- Prepare product specifications and assist with pricing and client proposals in Studio Designer.
- Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, contractors, and project partners.
- Support the design team with project documentation, organization, and scheduling.
- Maintain project accuracy while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- 2–4 years of professional interior design experience, preferably in luxury residential or hospitality design.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit (required).
- Excellent drafting skills and understanding of construction documentation.
- Ability to read and create floor plans, elevations, and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of measurements, space planning, and design specifications.
- Experience with SketchUp and Adobe Photoshop/InDesign is preferred.
- Experience with Studio Designer is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and client-focused attitude.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and a quick learner with the ability to adapt to new processes and technologies.
